Recap Raven is built for Discord voice sessions: invite the bot, record a game, then review the recap, transcript, Campaign World, analytics, and prep. The product uses both "DM" and "GM" because Dungeons & Dragons players often search for DM tools while other tabletop RPGs use GM.

## Does Recap Raven have a free plan?

Yes. Recap Raven offers a permanent free plan with our Discord bot. No card required. New accounts receive 5 Standard sessions in their first 30 days. After that, the free plan includes 2 Standard sessions every 30 days. Free sessions can be up to 3 hours long.

## Core Capabilities

- Player-safe session recaps are separated from GM-only notes, private prep, and speculative analysis.
- Memory plans build and update an editable Campaign World of people, places, items, lore, hooks, and session history.
- Ask answers are grounded in saved campaign material and include transcript evidence that users can inspect.
- Players can use `/ask` and `/askprivate` in Discord. Their dedicated player Ask allowance does not consume the GM allowance.
- Words by speaker are included on every plan. Premium analytics add turns by speaker, spotlight balance, table energy, and moments that sparked the table. Memory plans connect analytics trends across sessions.
- Premium and Searchable Memory plans can connect ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or another compatible AI client through the Recap Raven MCP server. Memory tools require Searchable Memory.
- Every plan supports the Recap Raven Discord recording bot, transcript imports and supported Craig recording links.
- Transcripts and recaps support English, Italian, Spanish, French, German, Brazilian Portuguese, Polish, Dutch and Japanese. Free Tier offers best-effort multilingual recaps; Premium and Searchable Memory add stronger transcription and AI cleanup. Automatic language detection is on by default for new campaigns; owners can turn it off to use English. The website interface is in English.

## What do Standard Transcription and Basic AI include?

Free Tier includes a transcript and simple recap delivered by our Discord bot. You can edit names and details yourself. Premium reduces manual cleanup with stronger AI, TTRPG spelling corrections and richer summaries.

## Safety, Privacy, And Product Boundaries

- Recording is announced to the Discord channel. The GM remains responsible for obtaining participant consent.
- Raw audio is deleted after successful transcription and is not kept as a recording library. A queued recording may remain temporarily while transcription is retried.
- Transcripts, recaps, GM notes, and campaign memory remain until the user deletes the session, campaign, or account.
- Customer session content is not used to train AI models.
- Player-facing outputs do not use private prep or GM-only notes. AI can still make mistakes; the GM can correct the share page after automatic delivery.
- AI-generated answers and summaries can be wrong. Transcript citations are provided so important claims can be checked.
- Spotlight and table-energy analytics are facilitation aids, not player scores or judgements of performance.

Run `/session join` or complete a qualifying bot session within 10 days to unlock one Premium + Memory bonus, valid for 30 days. Both sessions include Searchable Memory and an Ask allowance. Both welcome sessions support up to 8 hours each. No card required.
- All plans include Craig imports, transcript access, words by speaker and the MVP Standout Moment. Premium adds PDF exports, scene energy, whole-table character spotlights, generated GM notes and feedback. Manual World notes and hooks are available on every plan; Searchable Memory adds automatic updates and campaign Ask.
- Premium includes five campaign spaces at every session level and MCP access to available recaps, transcripts and manual World data. It does not include campaign-wide Ask or searchable campaign memory.
- Every Premium + Memory plan includes unlimited campaign spaces.
- Memory Ask allowances increase from Standard to Expanded to Highest as the session level increases. Every paid Memory option also includes a dedicated player Ask pool.
- Extra sessions on paid plans are $2.99 each. Plans can be changed or cancelled.
- Premium sessions include up to 6 hours of recording; Premium + Memory and welcome sessions include up to 8 hours; Free sessions include up to 3 hours. All sessions support up to 8 speakers, subject to fair usage.
- Obsidian and Foundry VTT integrations are available on every plan. Their API keys do not grant access to paid MCP or Searchable Memory tools.
