How it works
From game night to a recap in your players’ hands — here’s the whole journey. Audio is deleted after transcription. Transcripts, recaps, and campaign memory remain until deleted.

Open a player-safe recap
A sanitized example from a real processed session, showing the recap your players can read without exposing DM-only notes.

Add the Recap Raven bot to your Discord server, hop into the voice channel you want to record, and run
/session start— that’s the whole setup. It records every speaker on their own track, which is what makes accurate attribution possible. End the night with/session stopand your recap starts processing automatically.Just play
No laptops, no mics to babysit. Run your game; the bot quietly does the rest, and your session is ingested automatically the moment you stop.
We turn the night into canon
Your audio is transcribed and immediately deleted. Our engine normalises your campaign’s terms, then writes the player-safe recap, your GM notes and the session report — and we analyse the night for insights that help you run better sessions. Typically ready in under 10 minutes, though longer recordings and busy periods can take more time. The bot tells you in Discord when it’s ready to review.
Players get the recap automatically
By default the bot posts the player-safe recap and transcript straight back to your Discord the moment it’s ready — your players stay in the loop with zero effort. Don’t want that? Turn it off in settings. Your GM notes and feedback always stay private. It’s your call.
Ask your campaign anything — direct in discord
Memory plans build and update your world wiki as you play. Edit it only when you want to correct canon. Anyone at the table can ask right from Discord using our bot’s
/askand/askprivatecommands. Our research AI searches everything said at the table, even from 20 sessions ago.Everyone knows AI can get things wrong, or make things up — so every answer comes with its receipts: the verbatim quotes behind it, which you can open and check. You see the source, not just the summary. No guarantees, but it is how we work to keep AI slips from quietly becoming canon at your table.
The campaign memory engineBeta
Ask your campaign. Get receipts.
Players can ask about NPCs, quests, items, and past decisions directly in Discord. Every answer links back to the session evidence.
The questions every GM forgets the answer to
- Where was Sol’Thun’s soul stored?
- What did Hal ask with Divination last session?
- Who did the archmage give the Widow’s Compass to?
- What name did the ghost possessing Vorlen give?
- What word did the ghosts want repeated 64 times?
Three campaigns deep or three years in — use the chronicle, hooks and source-backed search to get your bearings before the next session.

Where was Sol’Thun’s soul stored?
The party recovered Sol’Thun’s soul from a crown in the storm dragon’s hoard. Later, the Temple of Vala used the peel of transference to return it to his body.
“It was inside an item, a crown belonging to the hoard.”
The Discord commands
Everything runs from Discord slash commands — no app to install, no dashboard to learn. The two you’ll use every session are /session start and /session stop.
/session start | Join the voice channel you want to record, then run this to begin. Every speaker is captured on their own track. |
|---|---|
/session stop | End the session. Your recap starts processing automatically — typically ready in under 10 minutes, though it can take longer. |
/session pause | Pause the recording (nothing is captured) and pick up again when you’re ready. |
/session status | Show the live session console — who’s being recorded and how long you’ve been going. |
/session campaign | Choose, or add, the campaign this server records into. |
/session cast | Review and reconfigure who plays which character, for accurate attribution. |
/session settings auto-share | Automatically share the completed player-safe recap and transcript with session attendees in Discord. |
/ask | Ask your campaign anything; the answer, with quoted receipts, is posted for the whole table. |
/askprivate | Ask privately — only you see the answer, and the GM gets a copy. |
/usage | See your table’s shared Recap Raven usage. |
/subscription | Manage billing or add more sessions for your table. |
/player-chat enable/player-chat disable | GM only — turn player questions on or off for the campaign. |

Names and canon kept cleaner.
Generic transcription mangles fantasy names — and a recap full of “Thran Dweel” is a recap you have to fix by hand. Recap Raven builds a spelling dictionary for each campaign from your own notes and lore, then uses it to normalise each transcript as well as it can, so people, places and items are much more likely to come out spelled the way your table spells them. The same pass tries to extract the night’s lore — who holds what, who died, what was promised — into your campaign’s canon, with the transcript still there for checking.
And your campaign becomes searchable
Every processed session feeds a campaign memory — people, places, items, hooks and a running chronicle. That gives the research AI concrete material to search, so you can ask questions like “who did I give the Widow’s Compass to?” and get an answer with quotes and references you can check.
Want to take that memory into your own AI workflow? See how Recap Raven works with ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini.
What it costs
We charge per session — each plan includes a set number of sessions a month — and every paid plan includes a set recording allowance. Recap Only is the lower-cost recap plan; memory plans add Ask credits for questions across your campaign, with higher plans allowing more. Start free — your first session is on us, no card required. See pricing.
Recorded with Craig, or already have a transcript? Both still work — paste either into the portal.
