RECAP RAVEN

Keep track of unfinished business

A D&D quest tracker for the promises your party makes

The party agreed to find a missing scout. Three sessions later, they are negotiating with a rival guild. Keep the original promise where you can find it when someone asks what happened to the scout.

Manual quest editing is free and does not require the Discord bot. Automatic updates require Memory sessions. Compare plans

Track the objectives your group has taken on, review their progress and keep the unfinished ones in view before the next game.

Keep the quest log current

Add or edit quests yourself on any plan. Review the objective and its status when the party changes direction.

Follow progress from the session

Eligible Memory sessions update quest progress from recorded events. Check the result and make any corrections in the campaign.

Find the loose ends

Review hooks drawn from recaps and their session sources. Resolve a hook when the party has dealt with it.

What goes into a quest?

Each quest keeps the party’s objective and latest progress together. Open the campaign’s Quest Log to see what still needs doing and how far the group has got.

Title and objective
Name the quest and describe what the party is trying to achieve.
Status
Active, stale, completed or abandoned. Stale is for a quest that has stalled or been put on hold.
Latest progress
Keep the most recent discovery, setback or decision alongside the objective.
Session sources
Updates drawn from sessions link back to their sources, so you can revisit the events behind the entry.
Last changed
See when the quest was last updated. Completed and abandoned quests stay in a separate, expandable list.

Add quests yourself, or let Memory keep them current

Create a campaign and add your first quest for free. You can edit its title, objective, status and progress without recording a session or installing the Discord bot.

On Searchable Memory plans, eligible sessions automatically update quests as the party makes progress. You can review and edit the result in the same log.

The separate Hooks tab helps the GM follow unresolved threads from recaps, with session links and open or resolved status. The Quest Log is visible to players; the GM’s Hooks tab is separate. Keep secret plans in your private GM material.

For your players, too

Quests in Discord with /questlog

Once the bot is linked to your campaign and your players are mapped to it, they can use /questlog in Discord. Recap Raven posts the quest titles, objectives, statuses and latest progress in the channel for the group to read.

It reads your existing log without an AI call. Long entries are shortened for Discord; use /questlog page:2 to move through a longer list. Manual quests work here too, without a Memory plan.

Example command: /questlog

Searchable Memory plans

Ask your campaign anything. Check the cited answer.

Who sent us after the scout? What did they promise us? When a quest entry leaves you wanting more detail, ask Recap Raven about the events behind it.

Searchable Memory searches your saved campaign sessions and gives a cited response when the record supports an answer. Follow the citation to check what was said. If the evidence is missing, Recap Raven says so.

With player chat set up, eligible players can ask in Discord using /ask, or use /askprivate for a private reply. Player answers exclude private GM notes and prep; usage follows your campaign’s Ask allowance.

Built for real table questions

What to check before the next game

Open the log while you prep. A few questions are usually enough to remember what needs attention.

What did the party promise?

Check the active objectives before adding another job. An older promise can give the group a reason to revisit a place or person it already cares about.

Did last session finish this?

Review the recorded progress. If a bargain changed the objective or the party abandoned it, update the log so it reflects the decision.

Which thread could matter tonight?

Look through unresolved hooks and return to their source sessions. Choose something that fits what the players have said they want to do next.

Frequently asked questions

Is the D&D quest tracker free?

Manual quest editing is available on every plan, including Free. Automatic quest updates require eligible Memory sessions.

Will importing old notes automatically update every quest?

Free manual imports create recaps from the supplied notes. They do not include the automatic quest updates provided by Memory sessions. You can maintain the quest log yourself.

Can I use it for other tabletop RPGs?

Yes. A campaign quest log works for objectives, promises and investigations in other tabletop systems too.

Will my private GM plans appear in the public showcase?

GM-only notes stay separate. Public sharing is opt-in and uses the campaign’s player-safe material. Review the public preview before publishing.
