In the northern logging town, the party took on the white-stag hunt, but the day kept splitting into darker threads: the haunted old inn, the ghost-touched bag, and a green-eyed stranger whispering that nobody bypasses the Choosing. The session ended with the group still following the stag trail after a brutal banshee fight in the woods.
GM review notes
The table kept returning to the green-eyed stranger even while pursuing the stag; prep both threads.
The strongest player question was whether the stag can be reasoned with, not just fought.
The banshee spike landed because it interrupted a loose investigation scene with sudden danger.

Does everyone need to consent to recording?
Yes. Consent matters. Recap Raven announces the recording in the channel in text, plays a voice cue when audio playback is available, and clearly shows when it is recording. Tell your table before the session and discuss any concerns in advance. Raw audio is deleted within minutes of transcription — we keep it no longer than necessary — and the transcript maps speech to player characters.
How do the Premium + Memory welcome sessions work?
Your first Premium + Memory welcome session is included. Run /session join successfully within 10 days of signing up to unlock 1 more, valid for 30 days. These one-time welcome sessions are separate from your monthly Free allowance. Each session can be up to 5 hours. No card is required.
Can I keep using Recap Raven for free?
Yes. Free Tier includes 5 Standard sessions per month for your first three calendar months, including signup month, then 1 per month: a title, a short player-safe summary, scenes and an MVP Standout Moment. It uses basic AI models, standard transcription quality and a lower-priority queue. Names and fine details may be less accurate than on paid plans. You can edit Free Tier recaps by hand to correct names and details. Craig imports, transcript access and words by speaker are included. PDF exports, GM feedback, advanced analytics and campaign memory require a paid plan.
What does the $7.99 plan include?
Premium includes 5 complete sessions per month across up to 5 campaigns: recording, transcription, player-safe recaps, private GM notes, GM Session Analytics and feedback for each session. Five sessions is ideal for a weekly game, without getting in the way when the calendar gives you a fifth Tuesday. Need more room? Our plans range from 5 to 20 sessions per month.
What do Standard Transcription and Basic AI include?
Free Tier includes a transcript and simple recap delivered by our Discord bot. You can edit names and details yourself. Premium reduces manual cleanup with stronger AI, TTRPG spelling corrections and richer summaries.
Can players see the GM report?
No. GM notes, analytics and coaching feedback stay private to the GM. Players receive only player-safe material from their side of the table: the recap and their private transcript, built from what was said at the table and official canon appropriate for them. We work hard to remove AI speculation that could connect dots they have not reached. For information to be recalled to players, it must already have been said or heard at the table.
Can I delete or export recordings and transcripts?
Raw audio is deleted automatically after transcription, so Recap Raven does not keep a recording library to export. You can delete sessions, campaigns or your account, and export the retained account data — including transcripts and recaps — at any time.
How long does processing take?
Paid sessions are typically processed in under 10 minutes after you stop recording, but longer recordings and busy periods can take more time. Free Tier sessions use a lower-priority queue and may take longer. The app shows you while processing is still underway.
My players are dubious about being recorded. How can I reassure them?
Give them the facts: recording is announced, it can be paused or stopped, raw audio is deleted after transcription, session content is not used to train AI models, and GM-only reports stay separate from the player recap. If anyone at the table is not comfortable, do not start the recording.
