Daria is in closed beta and is not available for general signup. Recap Raven is available today, already used by hundreds of GMs across hundreds of sessions. You can record your next Discord game, share a player-safe recap and use Premium GM feedback or Memory’s prep tools to get ready for the next one by inviting Recap Raven to your Discord server today.

We make Recap Raven. This comparison uses Daria’s official pages, checked on 17 October 2026. We have not tested its beta or compared the two tools on the same recording.

Record your next Discord game with Raven

You can create a Recap Raven account and connect Discord today. Daria requires a closed-beta application, with no guaranteed access and no announced public pricing. Its free beta is available to admitted testers.

See what Recap Raven produces for real tables in our Campaign Showcase. Browse player-safe recaps and follow the campaigns their GMs have chosen to share.

YouTubers and streamers already use Recap Raven for their games. Our creator case study follows VictorSeven and Cyber Chiv, with examples of recaps, Discord delivery and table analytics, plus VictorSeven’s feedback on how Raven helps him prepare.

Recap Raven has an ongoing free plan: five Standard recordings in your first 30 days, then two every 30 days, each up to three hours. New accounts also receive an eight-hour Premium + Memory welcome session and can unlock a second within ten days.

Use the welcome session to record a game your group would play anyway. Compare the player recap with what you remember, then open the private GM feedback and try a campaign question.

Where Daria is worth watching: illustrated and in-person campaigns

Daria puts artwork alongside its session record. Its homepage shows scenes paired with transcript excerpts and character references, plus a session podcast view. If you want campaign moments turned into pictures, those examples give you something concrete to judge.

It also describes browser microphone recording and imported audio for groups around a physical table. Those capture options could suit a group that alternates between Discord and someone’s living room. They remain part of the beta offering.

Recap Raven centres on Discord recording and Craig imports. If your game already happens in a voice channel, our Discord recording guide takes you through the setup. We would not recommend it as a replacement for a dedicated room-recording app.

A Note on Recap Raven’s AI Ethics on Image Generation

We at Recap Raven believe that the imagination behind your campaign belongs to you, your players and the artists you choose to work with. We deliberately keep character and scene artwork generation out of Raven’s session tools, leaving those creative choices with GMs, players and artists. We use generated illustrations in Campaign Showcase, on this website and in demonstrations. Our responsible AI approach explains that boundary and our respect for the creators who make this hobby possible.

Check the source behind a campaign answer

Both tools offer campaign answers with sources. Daria’s FAQ says its answers link to the session and scene they came from.

Recap Raven’s Searchable Memory gives you transcript evidence to open and read. Ask about a promise the party made, then check the passage behind the answer. If the saved record does not support an answer, Raven says so. Our campaign-memory guide shows the workflow.

Both also describe connections for external AI assistants. Recap Raven’s MCP connection gives compatible assistants access to your campaign within your plan’s allowances; Daria lists its own MCP server. This is another reason to compare the actual workflow rather than count feature ticks.

Both products connect with Foundry, with different jobs for their integrations. Recap Raven brings recaps into Foundry and Obsidian. Daria’s Foundry module places rolls and other game events alongside the transcript, and its documentation says it filters hidden rolls before sending them.

Use the session record to prepare the next game

A recap gets everyone back into the story. Your own prep needs something different: which loose end to pick up, who had little space last week, and what you want to change next time.

Recap Raven lets you add your own private GM notes on Free. Premium adds generated GM feedback and deeper analytics. Memory adds cited campaign answers, automatic campaign and quest updates, campaign prep advice and private planning through Ask. Player-safe recaps stay separate from the private GM material.

Our session-prep guide shows how to turn last week’s record into decisions for the next game. Look at the DM Prep Advice example and decide whether it would save you time at your own table.

Daria’s published feature list centres on recording, scene summaries, artwork and campaign questions. If private GM feedback and table analytics matter to you, ask about those when applying for its beta.

Check what your players and other readers can see

Daria’s privacy policy distinguishes campaign access from link previews. A person with a session link can see its public preview; recordings and transcripts require Discord server membership. Its policy also describes team access for support and quality checks, and says campaign content is retained until the campaign or content is deleted.

Before using either tool, agree with your group on recording and sharing. Open a shared link while signed out so you know what another reader sees.

Recap Raven delivers player-safe recaps directly into Discord, with an option to review before publishing. Its public Campaign Showcase is a separate, opt-in choice. Our sharing guide explains that distinction and what stays private.

Which should you choose?

Daria is worth watching if its illustrated campaign record or in-person recording appeals to you, but signup remains closed. If you’re choosing a tool for an ongoing campaign, Recap Raven is available today. Try it with your own table and explore real campaign examples in Showcase to judge the recap quality for yourself before committing.
